This 1-day workshop looks at fetal alcohol spectrum disorders from the brain-based approach. We will cover facts and statistics about FASDs, diagnosis, its neurobehavioral profile, and will use a research-based model to suggest a parenting, caregiving and professional approach to give individuals with FASDs their best chance at success. Examples, stories, and individual experiences are used throughout the workshop and participation is encouraged.
This workshop is an introduction to FASD for parents and professionals. Parents are encouraged to bring members of their support team to the workshop if at all possible.
Registration does not include lunch, but will include water and snacks, and there is a cafe in the building to order lunch. Registration is $55 but please contact the presenter if this is a hardship: Adrienne Bashista, Training Director of FAFASD, email@example.com
The workshop will be held at the Picknelly Center, room 402/402, at 206 Maple St., Holyoke, MA, from 9am – 5 pm. Garage parking is nearby.
A certificate of completion will be presented at the end of the workshop.
